Driving Directions to Beacon Academy
From South or West:
Take Rte. 9 towards Boston through Brookline Village
(landmarks: Hearthstone Plaza on left and fire station
with clock tower on right). Just beyond pedestrian
overpass, turn left at light onto Brookline Avenue
(Brook House is on right). At second traffic light
turn left (Riverway). Beacon Academy is at next
traffic light (Longwood Avenue). Turn right, Beacon
Parking is in 375 Longwood Garage on Longwood Avenue.
Enter at second left (far end of building).
Or
Beacon Street past Coolidge Corner. Turn right at second traffic light (Kent Street). Turn left at first traffic light (Longwood Avenue), and proceed through two traffic lights. Beacon parking is in 375 Longwood Garage on Longwood Avenue. Enter at second left (far end of building).
From North:
Take I-93 or Rte. 1 to Tobin Bridge or Sumner Tunnel
as you prefer. Follow signs to Storrow Drive. Exit
left at Kenmore Square exit, staying in the right
lane. Turn right at traffic light, (and go into left
lane). At major intersection, which is Kenmore Square,
turn left onto Brookline Avenue, past Fenway Park.
Just beyond Beth Israel Hospital is Longwood Avenue.
Turn right, Beacon parking is in 375 Longwood Garage
on Longwood Avenue (1st right).
Parking:
Park at the 375 Longwood Avenue parking garage, next
to Temple Israel.
By Public Transportation
Beacon Academy is located two blocks from the Longwood Station along the Green Line's Riverside route, and two blocks in the other direction from several bus routes that stop near Beth Israel/Deaconness Hospital, in Temple Israel building. The #39 bus that travels from Copley Square to Forest Hills Station stops at Mass College of Art on the corner of Longwood Ave. and Huntington Ave., which is less than a mile from the Temple. We are also about 4/5 of a mile from Coolidge Corner.
