Curriculum

Summer 2010

Thirty students enrolled, 28 showed up, and 24 made it through our summer selection process to start the year in September.

Students not only earned their way in by completing a rigorous academic program, but demonstrated their fit with our social and cultural program through their joyous participation in our co-curricular activities which included trips to St. George's School and Concord Academy, Walden Pond, an all day MBTA excursion exploring Boston and beyond, and a two-night stay on Martha's Vineyard which included conversations with:

  • Dr. Gloria White-Hammond - My Sister's Keeper
  • Alan Dershowitz - Harvard Law School
  • Ken Armstead - Absolute Plus Management
  • Pam Putney - International Nurse Midwife
  • Tom Dunlop - Author (recently - Schooner and Morning Glory Farm)
  • Nat Benjamin - Gannon and Benjamin Marine Railway
  • Simon Athearn and colleagues - Morning Glory Farm
Special thanks to Morgan Baker, Joanne Bauer, Lynne Charron, Marsha Feinberg, Susie and Andy Magdanz, Michelle and Greg O'Connor, and Maureen Strafford and Alex McDonald and their families for their very generous hospitality!
